CONGA TABLE # 1

Made from a Vintage Conga Drum

Ceramic tile, Metal, Vintage handbuilt mahogany drum.  2000.   28"high x top diameter 13".  Bond Collection, Colorado.  

When the jazz men moved out of their rehearsal space down the alley from me, they left 3 old conga drum bases in the dumpster. 

I brought them to the studio and made them into tables.  This one was topped with a custom tile mosaic.

Made from a vintage Gon Bops Conga Drum

I brought them to the studio and made them into tables.  This one was sanded and refinished with 10 hand painted 'Jazz in the City' scenes and topped with a custom tile mosaic, 'JAZZ'.

SUN AND MOON MOSAIC TILE COUNTERTOP

36 Hand painted ceramic accent tiles, production tiles.  Installed 1996. 4'6" x 20' -  Denver, Colorado

The hand painted ceramic accent tiles were made in 4 different patterns, 2 suns, a crescent moon, and a big fat full moon.

The hand painted tiles were designed to match the Fiestaware colors, original green, sunflower yellow, persimmon, turquoise, cobalt blue and black.

MOSAIC TILE STAIR RISERS

Custom cut production tile mosaic.  Installed 2001. 18 Steps, All of unique design - each aprox. 6.5" x 36" -  Denver, Colorado

Detail of the upper steps - thousands of pieces were cut on a diamond blade wet saw and fitted to cardboard templates to insure a perfect fit upon installation.
